LOCCUS, in partnership with MOA Ventures and the SENAI Innovation Institute, launches the first Venture Builders in Brazil focused on Diagnostics, Bio-inputs, and Nanotechnology.

BIOS
Aimed at startups that create solutions based on bio-inputs and testing for the agricultural sector.

NANOS
Focused on startups that develop nanotechnology and diagnostic applications.

Innovation and Precision
Both verticals also encompass solutions focused on precision diagnostics and increased shelf life, stimulating technological innovations that meet critical market demands.
Impactful thesis: Innovation applied to Agribusiness and Healthcare.
The program is structured around two main verticals:

The target audience is early-stage startups with technologies classified between TRL levels 5 and 7, already engaged in pilot projects or that have their first customers.
The program seeks highly qualified entrepreneurs, such as chemical engineers, pharmacists, biologists, agronomists, and other related fields, with a background in applied research.
Furthermore, BIOS & NANOS supports startups with B2B, B2C, and B2B2C business models, offering everything from financial investment to support for product development, market strategies, and internationalization. The investment strategy encompasses instruments such as equity, convertible notes, joint ventures, and investment preferences, with a long-term vision that includes acquisitions, spin-offs, and integration into the Loccus ecosystem.

MOA Ventures, a leader in startup investment and acceleration, consolidates its pioneering position in the innovation ecosystem by announcing the launch of BIOS and NANOS , in partnership with LOCCUS and the SENAI Institute for Innovation in Embedded Systems, located in Sapiens Parque in Florianópolis.
State-of-the-art infrastructure and strategic support
The program offers more than just capital. Participating startups will have access to:
State-of-the-art laboratories and equipment;
Specialized technical resources through strategic partners;
Direct connection with Science and Technology Institutions (ICTs);
Specialized mentoring and strategic guidance;
Support for participation in priority calls for proposals and programs that expand the financial and operational capacity of startups, such as EMBRAPII, FINEP, FAPs, etc.
Financial contribution in exchange for equity.
This combination of technical, financial, and strategic resources positions BIOS & NANOS as a robust and transformative program in the Brazilian innovation landscape.
What is BIOS & NANOS?
BIOS and NANOS are the first programs in Brazil to combine an investment model with a Venture Builder. The initiative is dedicated to creating an ecosystem of actors who develop high-impact technologies in Bio-inputs, Nanotechnology, and Precision Diagnostics, focused on the Agribusiness and Human and Animal Health sectors, promoting significant advances in these strategic markets.
